Some concerned citizens have asked me to let you know the Current City Council and Mayor are having an emergency meeting Monday, April 3rd, at 1 pm to discuss the city manager and his employment. Click HERE to see the meeting agenda pdf. The concern is that they may be trying to sandbag the new council you will select on May 6 and tie their hands with regard to this important position. The primary role of the City Council is to listen to the citizens and implement the policies the citizens want by hiring and firing the city manager and authorizing his compensation. Please attend this meeting and inform your elected officials of how you feel about this by contacting them.
